We may have said goodbye to Gossip Girl last December (sob!), but 19-year-old Taylor Momsen, who played wannabe designer Jenny Humphrey on the hit show, hasn't turned her back on the glossy fashion world altogether. The bottle blonde actress and front woman of rock band The Pretty Reckless, has just been signed by Next Model Management and looks set to land bookings in both fashion and cosmetics.
This isn't Momsen's first brush with modelling, as you may remember that she appeared as the face of both New Look and Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon's label Material Girl, for whom she was subsequently followed by Kelly Osbourne and Georgia May Jagger. She also starred in the campaign for John Galliano's perfume Parlez-Moi d'Amour, which was shot by renowned photographer Ellen von Unwerth and featured a Moulin Rouge-esque theme.
It's a good job that she's a dab hand at the old posing malarky, as the kohl-eyed beauty will be joining the likes of Alexa Chung, Ellie Goulding, Harley Viera-Newton, Jessica Alba, Lana del Rey, Lou Doillon and Rita Ora on the global modeling agency's books. The Next Branding team specialises in hooking up big name stars with leading global brands to support their careers.
Taylor revealed, "I'm excited about my new relationship with Next Models. Next has great vision, and will be a fantastic partner in furthering both my music and fashion."
She's set to be a very busy lady as Momsen continues to record and perform with her band and was snapped shooting their new music video, Unlikely, in New York in April.
