The Perks of Being an Intern
Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless and I at Q1043!
The best part about living in New York has to be the opportunities. Granted every state has radio stations but had I not taken the path I did I many have never ended up as an intern for New York City's Q1043 classic rock station. Especially as just a sophomore in college. This might have been one of the greatest experiences yet I've had in radio and if this is the start, I can't wait to see what else is in store!
A few days ago, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless (you may also know her as Jenny from Gossip Girl and the cooler chick in that picture), stopped by Q to do an interview and perform an acoustic version of her song "Going to Hell" which is the title track to her new album. You can listen to the full interview and live performance on Q1043's "Out of the Box" at 9 pm on Sunday hosted by Jonathan Clarke. You can also listen to her first single off the album "Heaven Knows" during the show as well.
Sitting in on the interview and meeting with Taylor after her interview was certainly the sickest opportunity I've had thus far, especially as a little intern. The emphasis is heavy on "little". I couldn't be more excited about the future and what's in store for me as I continue my journey in radio. Of course I will keep you posted ;)
