Gossip Girl’s wild child rocker Taylor Momsen has dismissed rumours of a catfight with co-star Leighton Meester over their music careers. The 16-year-old Courtney Love wannabe fronts her own alternative band, The Pretty Reckless, while Meester is sticking with a bubblegum pop sound for her upcoming debut album. Momsen reckons any comparisons of their sounds are unwarranted but she loves Meester’s poptastic tracks anyway! “We’re doing a different thing; she’s putting out a pop record, which is awesome,” Momsen told Entertainment Weekly. But Momsen admits she isn’t that close to the rest of the Gossip Girl cast: “We’re all cordial and nice to each other, but we’re not really friends outside of the set,” she said.
