The Pretty Reckless Perform at “Music Unites" (April 13, 2011)

She loves a good audience, and last night (April 13) Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed at the Music Unites In Tune Music gig in New York City. The “Gossip Girl” actress showed up at Dominion looking fabulous in her typical black leather jacket/black miniskirt combo. Though she’s probably best known for her CW role, Taylor considers herself a musician first and then an actress. "It's still something I have to overcome. I don't think it's fully transitioned. I would consider myself a musician that also acts. I've been writing songs since I was 5. It's the thing that I chose for myself. I wasn't put into it. I made the decision and couldn't live without it, and hopefully people will give the record a chance and they'll hear that. They'll hear that it's not some side vanity project [but] that I really, really worked on it for a long time, really my whole life."
